Chapter 27, Transfer Agents Summary
At their morning meeting, Dr. Barbara Archer is adamant that it's a waste of time to keep the dying subjects alive any longer. They are not responding to any drugs and will not be moved to Kansas. In side of six months, there would only be three categories of humans left: The dying, those few not exposed to the virus and those selected to be saved and injected with vaccine B. Some hearty souls would no doubt surface as totally immune to Shiva. But these rare individuals would die of starvation or other disease brought about by the multitude of unburied dead bodies laying about.
