Chapter 11, Infrastructure Summary

Kevin Mayflower, President of the Sierra Club, is visiting Carol Brightling in the Washington DC office. They are having a heated discussion over a bill that will allow for new drilling in Alaska. While Kevin is adamant that she must convince the President to veto the bill, Carol thinks to herself that there is a solution but doubts that Kevin would be up to join the real fight. Recruitment is always a problem even for true believers like Kevin.

In a remote area of Kansas, General Contractor Charlie Hollister is scanning the large complex of new buildings that is almost complete. The state-of-the-art environmental control systems are on par with Navy nuclear sub-marine standards.
