Chapter 4, AAR Summary
Back in Hereford, Team 2 is congratulated with only slight problems noted. As Chavez falls asleep he re-lives the incident. He reviews in his mind the killing of the gunmen and is certain that appropriate measures were taken by his team and that the killings were in compliance with Rainbow rules and could not have been avoided. Popov is also in his bed in his hotel. He is assessing his situation. Although the gun-men he hired were killed, Popov is gloating over his success. He never thought of defecting while he was in the KBG, but he always envied the opportunities for personal wealth and the good life that capitalism offered. With another job or two like the Bern bank one, he would be set as long as his employer is willing to pay that much for fools.
