Chapter 2, Saddling Up Summary
Major Chavez and his Team 2 men continue to hone their skills and are spending time amassing important photos and dossiers of dangerous and wanted terrorists. They are practicing various scenarios including dealing with hostages held in a building and with terrorists on a commercial aircraft. Much to Chavez' dismay, Clark indicates that Team 1, Rainbow, commanded by Peter Covington is so far out performing Team 2. Meanwhile, in New York City, Dmitriy Popov, a former Russian KGB agent, is meeting with an unnamed American. The American has hired Popov as a consultant at annual salary of $100,000. The American dispatches Popov to courier $500,000 to a contact in Paris.
