Frances' House

Frances' house is where most of the novel takes place, especially outside of the Academy. Here, Frances lives with her mother across the street from Aled and Carol. It is described as relatively simple, with Frances having her own room and plenty of space to finish her schoolwork. This is also where Aled first learns that his mother put down his dog and where he decides to live at the end of the novel rather than returning to university with Carol.
