Summary
The summer holiday starts with “Your Art is So Beautiful” when Aled and Frances meet at the end of July. Aled asks if Frances ever talks to herself and admits that he thought it was strange that he does not. Frances tells the reader that she and Aled are not afraid to be themselves around each other, and while they do a lot together, their main focus is still University City. She decides to show him her sketchbook for the first time, and Aled calls her art beautiful before asking if he can look at all of her work. While nervous, Frances agrees.
Aled catches the flu in “Angel,” but Frances continues to visit him. He calls her an angel and jokes that he is platonically in love with her. Frances appreciates this, but realizes that she does not know how...
