Summary

Harry sees Tothero’s wife at the hospital and she tells him Tothero has had two strokes and cannot talk. He goes to see him and tells him Janice had her baby and they are back together. Tothero tries to say something, but cannot speak or be understood.

Harry and Janice have an argument when he goes to see her. She brings up his being gone for two months and living with a prostitute. Janice asks where he will stay until she gets out of the hospital and he tells her their apartment, expecting her to have been paying rent on it for the last two months. She tells him she has no money to pay rent.

Harry sees his baby before he leaves. He wants to name their baby June and Janice wants to name her Rebecca after her mother. They compromise and name the...
