Summary
The Ugly Red Stud died the winter the twins were born, and Rick Overlooking Horse mourned her passing. He had a dream of connecting tunnels before Tray Tor Two Bulls arrived at his teepee with the children. Le-a received the news from a neighbor and ran straight out into the storm without any extra clothing or supplies. Rick Overlooking Horse takes in the twins, Le-a, and Squanto and heals the twins with Wahupta and sage smoke. They live to see the spring, which is described in terms of rebirth. Soon enough, the entire reservation knew about Jerusalem and Daniel. Chief Oliver Red Cloud spoke about keeping Native Americans within the culture on the radio.
