Summary

Chapter 28 begins on a Saturday, one week before Christmas. While Maja's parents are in London with Lina, and Sebastian is off hunting in South Africa with his father, Maja spends the weekend at home with Samir. He makes fun of the pretentiousness of her parents' décor. When Maja gets a phone message from Sebastian, Samir prepares to leave. She tells him that she is going to break up with Sebastian, but she has to be careful because he isn't well. Samir tells her that she's not responsible for Sebastian and doesn't need to take care of him. Samir leaves, but Amanda who is locking up her bike sees them and immediately gets back on her bike and leaves. Maja walks over to the stables where Amanda is grooming her horse and tries to talk to her, but does not find a sympathetic...
