Point of View
Properties of Thirst is written exclusively from the third-person point of view. It is told from the third person limited point of view so the reader only gets insight into the thoughts of one person at a time, but throughout the novel, the narrator follows the actions and thoughts of different characters, rounding out the novel and allowing for multiple main characters. This point of view provides a more well-rounded view of the ranch, the camps, and the interpersonal familial relationships in the novel.
