Summary
In “The Ninth Property of Thirst is Submersion,” Snow had been around guns his whole life. He has memories from childhood of his father cleaning guns. He had always had a very accurate shot. He was hired from a young age to shoot birds off the property of grain growers, making good money. He could see what the bird was going to do, and he could see it when it was not there. Everyone thought he was slow because he could not read, but when his grandfather moved in, he brought in a Braille teacher, and Snow was able to read.
