Summary
In Chapter Twenty-Three: “Confrontation. J.B.,” J.B., Trey, and Ramon wait for Omar to leave school. Omar is at first afraid and runs from the boys. When they tell him they have seen his binder and want to know about his request from the Promise Fund, Omar infers neither of them committed the murder.
Omar explains he had the pictures of Moore because he was working on an article about Moore’s desire to open a second campus of Urban Promise. Moore told Omar that working on the project was an opportunity for him. Omar figured he could at least get some new camera equipment. So, he applied for Promise Funds.
