Friday March 11 Summary
In Homeroom, Mia writes of Lilly's excitement to go on the trip. Lilly has a public-access cable TV show called Lilly Tells It Like It Is. She plans on filming a piece for her TV show while in West Virginia. The video will focus on how the public housing system is not meeting housing needs.
Lilly encourages Mia to write about the experience to submit to the school paper. Mia, however, does not think she will get published. Since Mia joined the school newspaper, she's only been allowed to write the cafeteria menu, as Mia is still a freshman.
Mia goes on to express that even if she could get published, she wouldn't have anything to write, as she doesn't know much about building houses. She is even concerned she won't be able to help on the construction team that much...
