Deanna Wolfe

Deanna has been living in the Zebulon National Forest in the Appalachian mountain range, working as a ranger on Zebulon Mountain. She spends her days keeping an eye on the forest, especially the predators. She searching for a coyote trail when she comes across Eddie Bondo, a hunter from Wyoming. She can guess why he is there, to hunt coyotes, so she keeps it secret that she has found a rare coyote den. He spends a night with her and she wonders why she is risking having a mate such as this. Eddie and Deann's attraction is very strong, but their conflict in ideas about the relationship between man and nature, specifically predators, causes them to frequently argue and debate.
