On Friday, May 9 in Homeroom, Mia writes that she is attending school today because it is Senior Skip Day so most of the people who hate her are not at school today. Plus, it is better than staying home since Grandmere orders her around and monopolizes the bathroom. Mom threatens vengeance against Mia and Mr. Gianini for leaving her alone with Grandmere today. The school is calm without the seniors. Michael still came to school to escape home where his parents are lecturing Lilly about skipping school for the protests. Things are looking up though because Michael kissed Mia when they stopped for breakfast. In Algebra, Mia is excited because good things rarely happen to her.
