On Tuesday, May 6, at St. Vincent's Hospital, Mia notes that things got worse, and it is her fault for saying they couldn't. Mom passes out in the frozen foods section at the Grand Union, but luckily, firefighters are there to take her to the hospital. Mia is bored in French class when her cell phone rings, and she is shocked to receive a call from Captain Pete Logan telling her about Mom's situation. Mia rushes to Mr. Gianini's classroom with Lars, and the three of them rush to the hospital where they learn that Mom passed out because she was dehydrated, but the hospital staff assures them that Mom and the baby are fine.
