Mia writes that she doesn't know how she could have thought her life was over before because now she really thinks it's over. She thinks her life is over because Michael brought a girl, Judith, to go skating with Mia, Kenny, Mia's friends and all of their boyfriends. Mia mentions to Lilly that she didn't say anything about Michael coming with Judith. Lilly doesn't know that Mia is in love with Michael. Lilly says they aren't boyfriend and girlfriend.

Mia starts evaluating the reasons why Michael would want to be in a relationship with Judith. One being, that she is so smart that she cloned a fruit fly for a science project and won an award.
