Summary
In Chapter 5, Patricia is introduced the seminarian who is also living in the rectory while studying to become a priest. Although they agree about “absolutely nothing,” he and Patricia are comfortable together and enjoy each other’s company. Nevertheless, Patricia feels she may be a bad influence on him. She teases him about sexual fetishes, but he appreciates the education as he feels it will be useful knowledge for him in his future role as a religious counsellor.
Patricia wants to take the Church’s Gay Inkblot Test, which is supposed to indicate homosexuality. He seminarian rolls his eyes and tells her she’s not a lesbian because she wears dresses.
