Summary

Chapter 25 begins with Zuri heading to the train platform to go home, intent on distracting herself from her fight with Darius by going on Instagram on her phone. She scrolls through photos and stops short when she sees one of her sisters, Layla, on Warren’s lap. Darius has caught up with her by this time, and she shows him the photo in shock. Darius points out that the background looks like Carrie’s yard, so the pair head back to Carrie’s house and search for Layla. They find Carrie taking care of Layla in the bathroom as the latter vomits all the alcohol she drank that night. Zuri thanks Carrie sincerely for being a good person and looking out for the young girl. Darius and Warren, meanwhile, start fighting outside the house before the crowd breaks it up.
