Rosewood
Rosewood is the primary setting of the novel, and all of the action takes place within it. The town is a beautiful paradise. The scenery is idyllic and the town is described as the perfect place to live. Everyone who lives there is wealthy and beautiful and seemingly happy. All of the teenagers go to expensive private schools and wear designer brands. All of the parents have glamorous jobs and live in big, luxurious houses. But, beneath the idyllic surface is a dark underbelly in which young girls end up murdered in their own backyards.
Iceland
Iceland is the country that Aria moves to with her family. Iceland is presented as the polar opposite of Rosewood. In Iceland everyone is unique and different and full.
