Chapters 9-12 Summary

Spencer tries to download her father's files onto her own computer in Chapter 9, but ends up crashing it. She goes downstairs to tell her parents, who have seemed cold and distant lately, but they couldn't care less. Her mother even yells at her because somebody has painted offensive graffiti on their garage. Spencer's older sister Melissa offers to let Spencer use her computer, though. When Spencer starts to use it, she's shocked to see someone appearing to be Ian Instant Messaging her sister. She confirms that it is him by asking his middle name - Elizabeth - which almost nobody knows. Spencer then gets a new message from A, telling her that she'd better solve the mystery of Ali's killer or she'll be the next one gone.

The girls are all together in Chapter 10, which is from Emily's perspective. They wonder...
