Part 1, Sleeping Beauty: Chapters 1-4 Summary
This novel is the second in a series of novels. The first novel describes a post-apocolyptic world where everyone is given a surgery at the age of sixteen to make their appearance uniform. Tally, the heroine, also learned that the surgery includes changes to the brain to make everyone behave uniformly as well. At the end of the first novel, a cure was created by a renegade doctor to reverse the brain lesions created during the pretty surgery and Tally agreed to have the surgery in order to test the cure.
In Criminal, Tally is preparing for a party when Shay pings. Shay tells Tally that the dress for the party has been changed from semi-formal to costumes. Shay comes over, showing off her new surg, and helps Tally look for a costume. They want...
