Chapters 25 and 26 Summary

Beth spends hours writing her own story. She calls to tell Phil she has another source, but that the source is anonymous. Phil agrees to read the story and let her know if he's going to print it. Nick finds Tracy Westin in a filthy and rundown apartment building. Tracy weighs about 80 pounds and she is lying on a mattress in the corner of her apartment. She is burning up with a fever and Nick picks her up to take her to a hospital.

Chapters 25 and 26 Analysis

Beth is going to have to admit to Phil that she is the anonymous source in order to get him to publish the story. It's the only way Beth can save all of those kids. Nick finding Tracy in her condition foreshadows him getting her the help she needs to take her kids back...
