Summary
It is the year 2013, and the narrator is sitting in her home writing "The Deepest Sea." She addresses readers almost directly, admitting that it has been a while since she has written anything at all. She is fixated on the color of the ink, and notes that the pen she is writing with is filled with an old green ink cartridge she found in her forgotten belongings stored away. She complains about the fact that her green ink refill had yet to begin coming out of the pen.
She then reveals that the only reason she came across this green ink is because her landladies returned to the property with the intention of tidying up the place. They have been clearing old junk from the community storage area, which is why the narrator went there to see what she wanted to save...
