Summary

Katrine reports to Harry in Chapter 41 that there are three names most often connected with Bellman: Ulla Bellman, Truls Berntsen, and Isabelle Skøyen. In addition, she found a note from the Fraud Squad that Truls had refused to account for a large cash sum and that the Squad wanted permission from Bellman to investigate. Later, Katrine finds Silja's apartment and the caretaker lets her inspect it with surprising results.

Meanwhile, Harry takes the Odessa and drives over to Mangelrud where Truls lives. In Chapter 42, before Harry arrives, a man named Aronson rings Truls's doorbell to tell him that someone had broken into his car and was in the process of taking out the radio and CD player. Truls runs out to check his car, but learns too late that he has fallen for a ruse and is in serious trouble. When Harry...
