Summary

When Evie was 36 years old, she realized she loved women (236). However, she had chosen her life with Bart and was content with her career. Then one year, a “famous picture magazine asked her to dive off Truk Atoll” to photograph and write about “the war machines destroyed in Operation Hailstone” (236).
