Summary

In Chapter 6, Ava went into the undercroft on Saturday morning and met the “screws” as they called themselves: Sam, Jen, Jules, Kobe, and Jacob. Ava thought that they were all weird and nerdy. Dennis, their teacher, came in and told the boys to get to work sawing the wood. Jen explained that he dd not allow the girls to use the tools. Ava spent the whole morning sulking and ignoring everyone. When they tried to invite her into a game of “Would You Rather,” she could not think of anything to say. When they broke for lunch, she texted Alexis, but the actors were not having lunch until later. Jen invited Ava to come have lunch with them down the road, but Ava refused
