Chapter 19: The Ice Pick Summary and Analysis

Slim hitches a ride to his aunt's house who helps him in and takes care of him. He finds and steals a whore named "No Thumbs Helen" who robs men of their money from their wallets in addition to prostitution. They go to Minneapolis and Slim takes on another young whore. Helen gets upset and tries to stab him with a knife, but he takes a golf club and knocks her out instead. He loses Helen to an associate that used to know his mother and goes to Detroit with literally no money and no whores.
