Chapter 7: Melody Off Key Summary and Analysis

Runt gets a phone call and goes out working. Blood gets up and gets high, going to the "Fun House" bar. He leaves the bar after a few minutes and runs into Melody whose car has broken down just outside the bar. He fixes Melody's car and they drive out to Melody's all-white neighborhood for the evening. When things get serious, however, Blood notices Melody is not the she has been portraying and he escapes the house, leaving Melody tied to the bedposts. When he finally returns home, Runt has worked well that evening and made them plenty of money.
