Summary

In Chapter 7, set on July 26, 1986, Laura Juneau identified herself as Dr. Alex Maplecroft at the registration table for the Global Finance and Business Consortium. Laura worried that her identification might be recognized as a fake but at that moment, Nicholas “Nick” Harp and Andrew Queller came to speak to her, calling her by the name Dr. Maplecroft in order to build her credibility. As was usual when she was around Nick and Andrew, Juneau was reminded of her oldest son, David. David had been eighteen when he was murdered. Juneau avoided further conversation with anyone else as she ducked into the bar.
