Section 13: Chapter 14 and Thirteenth Picture Summary
In chapter fourteen, the decorations are more beautiful than anything Hollis has seen, and when Josie says Beatrice would love them, Hollis assures her that Beatrice will be home someday. After Hollis gives Josie the picture of Josie, Beatrice and Henry, Josie gives Hollis a tin of Izzy's hard candies, and Hollis offers it to Josie first, thinking she will have to pay Izzy back for the candy too. Josie also gives Hollis the tree figure she carved of Hollis, and crying, Hollis says it looks like her except it does not look like a mountain of trouble.
