Summary
In "What's Wrong with Mocha's Opinion?," six months after The Red Badge production began, Huston and Reinhardt get ready to attend its first preview. On the way, they discuss Mayer's potential reaction to the film. They dispel these concerns, reassuring one another about their work. They go to Schary's first to show him the picture. They all remark on the images, particularly the close-ups. Schary, however, suggests toning down some of the music, so as not to compromise the scenes. He suggests other cuts as well, which Huston eventually accepts.
They all agree it is the best picture Huston has ever made, hoping it will get into the Astor in New York. Reinhardt holds that it will not make any money.
