Chapters Twenty-Five and Twenty-Six Summary
Cassie prepares to meet the media again; Alex makes a statement that he sent her away to give birth to their son, and chastises the press for damaging peoples' lives with their constant scrutiny. Alex now looks like a hero again, who has endured false scandal to protect his wife's privacy.
Friends and staff are distant and cool to Cassie. Alex asks her not to mention his problems or therapy to anyone, and she asks him if they can go to bed. They are happy again, and Cassie can only think of them together and this new beginning.
Alex is back on top, with screenplays and offers and gifts for the baby. He seems to enjoy Connor and they are both at home more. They see a therapist together who explains that they will need to understand...
