Chapter Seven Summary

Cassie learns that Alex always picks out what she is going to wear. Before going out to dinner, they make love in the shower and Cassie sees them in the mirror, wondering if this is really her.

In the restaurant Alex gets a lot of attention and says this is why they do not go out much. A beautiful woman named Miranda sidles up to Alex; Cassie remembers the tabloids had placed her in his trailer, naked. A photographer who snaps a shot of them is led out the door, his film confiscated.

Alex explains to Cassie that they decided to wait on having children because she goes to Africa every year. She realizes they could well afford a nanny, and that this was probably his decision, not hers, but she goes along with him.
