Chapter Two Summary
Will has taken the woman to the ER, and she is still unable to remember anything. She is discharged with Will, who says he is from LAPD. The woman does not feel married, but she has a wedding band. She trusts Will to take her to his house so she can rest. Will wishes he could discard his past as easily as she has.
The Sioux in earlier days would cut off a woman's nose for adultery, which seems odd, because they did not understand the concept of ownership when it came to land, money, food or clothing.
