Summary
Chapter 3, “The Next Terrorist Attack,” is divided into two subsections. In it, Muller attempts to predict and prevent future attacks on the U.S., especially ones that might be committed by the terrorist group Al-Qaeda. He bases his predictions on what has and has not worked in the past – both for terrorists and for the security agencies that try to stop them. Muller suspects that terrorists are unlikely to try something new, like learning how to build a nuclear bomb, and more likely to try to repeat something that has worked for them before, like an airplane-related attack or explosion.
