Chapter 5: The Pretty Pennies Picket Summary

July: The Blakes' green pick-up arrives at the Lambert's house. Luther is dressed in his Sunday's finest. He only pays attention to the arriving vehicle when the beautiful Ginny alights from the truck. Ginny is accompanied by Susan, Esther and Bonnie - who along with Beth and Ginny, are all members of the Pretty Pennies girls club. After partaking in some lemonade and snacks, Beth calls the meeting to order. Bonnie, the most outspoken of the group, complains that the only business they cover is gossiping about the boys in the Tiger Hunters' Club. The others agree.
