Summary

Stage directions set the scene as being very early in the morning. Gar’s cases are by the door. S.B. comes in, fully dressed and with a cup of tea. He examines the luggage, then sits at the table, staring at the bedroom door. When he coughs, both Public and Private wake up. Private reminds Public that this is the last time he will be in this bed, and that he should go get some aspirin to help him sleep.

When Public leaves the bedroom, he is surprised to see S.B. Private urges Public to try to talk to S.B., and he does, but the conversation is about aspirins and tea.
