Summary
On “Wednesday,” at Monroe Medical Center while waiting to see the doctor, Pew watched television coverage from a city where people were missing. A man, who was identified as Mr. Gladstone, talked to Pew about the television broadcast. When Hilda sat down across from the man, he acknowledged her as his daughter.
The nurse, Nancy, who first referred to Pew as her and then changed her mind to him, took Pew to an examining room. Dr. “Buddy” Winslow told Pew that he regularly worked with trauma victims. When Pew refused to even nod when Buddy asked if Pew was a victim of trauma, Buddy asked Pew not to be difficult. Pew did nothing and said nothing. The doctor asked Pew if he would rather have a woman or man conduct the physical exam. Pew did not respond so he was taken to another room...
