Summary

On “Tuesday,” Roger gave Pew a stack of white paper and colored pencils. He asked Pew to relax and draw what Pew was thinking. Roger spoke until Pew finally drew a picture of a heron. Pew saw the bird one night when he could not find a church to sleep in. Roger tried to persuade Pew to draw something else, but Pew did not want to draw any more.

Hilda picked Pew up from Roger’s house. She told Pew that Roger had arranged an appointment for Pew to see a doctor at Monroe Medical Center on Wednesday. At that moment, Hilda was taking Pew to see the children’s minister whom she said was called Sonny.
