Chapters 71-77 Summary

Chapter 71 is called "The Secret Place." Molly and Peter are awake in George's room while he sleeps. She reads the letter from Ombra, which demands that he give Ombra the trunkful of starstuff or he will kill Molly's mother. Molly resolves to find her father and decides to start at the Tower of London, a place where she knows he sometimes goes and which might be the safe place where the starstuff is kept.

Chapter 72 is called "The Warder and the Watcher." The next day, George gives them some money to take a cab to the Tower. He wants to go along, but Molly convinces him to stay behind, promising to return. At the Tower, the guard recognizes Molly and lets her inside. He does not let Peter pass, however. Peter falls back and flies over the wall to meet Molly...
