Chapter 36 Summary

Todd is telling Kate that her attitude sucks and that she isn't the only that is hurting in all of this when the phone rings. Todd hands Kate the phone thinking it's Will. When he finds out it's his dad, he grabs the phone back from Kate, raves at his dad and then hangs up. He tells Kate that Dad says he can't pick her up after school tomorrow and she doesn't have to work because he doesn't want to burden her.

Todd gives Kate the number where he's staying and leaves. Grandma comes to talk to Kate. Grandma tells Kate that the best way to be happy is to think positive. She also says that things change, people leave and life goes on. That bad things have to happen so you recognize the good things.
