Chapter 13 Summary

Kate's mom visits her at the mall before she goes to a job interview for a second job, selling cosmetics in the department store where Kate's dad is banned. Kate starts to berate her father for it when he sends her on a break. Kate heads to the food court and runs into Will who is eating a cheeseburger. When Kate sees him, she puts her hand to her neck. Will smiles and they seem to have a connection. Will says hello. Kate says she has to go but she'll be in the storage area in about 10 minutes.

When Kate gets to the storage room and Will isn't there, she's disappointed. Then, Will shows up and they kiss again. Kate's dad calls for her so she says she has to go.

The next morning, Kate tries to convince that her mom she's sick...
