Summary
It was just before Christmas when Percy was taking his English exam in the auditorium at Goode High School when Mrs. O’Leary burst onto stage. She was a “shaggy black monster the size of a Hummer with razor-sharp claws, and glowing red eyes.” (85) Mrs. O’Leary was usually at Camp Half-Blood so Percy was surprised to see her at his school trampling over the Christmas tree and decorations on the wintery set on the auditorium stage.
Percy was afraid that the students and teachers would panic. But, Dr. Boring (real name) the English teacher asked who the poodle belonged to.
