Summary

In Chapter 26, "This Summer," Alex and Poppy have sex and profess their love for each other.

In Chapter 27, "This Summer," Alex and Poppy are sharing their pleasure of having sex with each other on the balcony when Nikolai arrives. He agrees to give them a full refund for the stay because he now knows that the air conditioning is broken in the entire unit. When he leaves, he gives them a note from Stacey and Bob. It contains a hundred-dollar gift certificate to a famous spa.

In Chapter 28, "This Summer," Poppy and Alex check into the Larrea Palm Springs Hotel. She lets Alex take a shower first. Then, she takes a long shower even though she normally does not like showers. When she is finished, she gets in the bed next to the one where Alex is sleeping.
