Chapter 12 Summary
Pop-pop is talking to Mickey through the static on the radio again when Penny goes down. Me-me warns that they'll lock him in an institution if he claims to be talking to his dead nephew through the static, but that doesn't stop him. Penny gives Pop-pop a kiss and goes back upstairs. In the morning, she goes to work and Frankie tells her that Aunt Concetta died. It isn't a tragic affair because Aunt Concetta was old and they didn't know her very well. It does mean, however, that they will be going to another funeral and another wake. Frankie is happy about it because he collects the funeral cards that are given out and this one will give him a total of fourteen prayer cards.
