Summary

Chapter 26 is titled “Sly Cantrips and Tricky Spells.” The third challenge of the Gauntlet is held at Castle Camelot. Emmy people sometimes remember places from their childhood as being much bigger than they actually are, but that is not the case with Castle Camelot. Emmy becomes angrier as she sees that the estate is flourishing while the Thorns and Avramovs are struggling. The Grimoire reveals the next challenge, this time requiring that the contestants figure out the answer to a puzzle in order to know what spell to cast. Gareth, Rowan, and Talia enter Castle Camelot. Emmy, as Arbiter, declines to let anyone else inside. She can see through the magic of the mantle. Others can see through scrying glasses.
