Summary

In Chapter 19, Pax and the kit stayed at the pond for three days. The first day Pax taught her to swim. On the second day, she did not want to leave the nest. On the third day, she could barely lift her head. Pax encouraged her to swim across the pond. After reaching the other side, she was exhausted.

Suddenly, Pax smelled Peter’s scent. Pax wanted to go and find Peter, but he could not because so much time had passed. Pax allowed his daughter to rest and told her they would leave in the morning.

In Chapter 20, Peter was disturbed by the way Jade and Samuel’s hug had impacted him.
