Chapters 41 - 43 Summary
Cayce and Peter enter a dining room after Cayce has been properly seen to by physicians, and cleaned up. She meets Volkov, who doesn't stay for dinner, and is told that Boone has also left. The group slowly explains how Cayce had been monitored since her original posting that surmised the maker could even be Russian Mafia for example, which struck a nerve with Volkov's people. Her suppositions hit a little too close to home for them and her father's reputation had also played a role. They explain how she had been monitored, who had been involved, and offer apologies for the mishandling in some cases of the information they had. She also learns how much her father had influenced history in Russia and Volkov's path through it. They are anxious to know how she learned of the Sigil information, but...
