Chapter 20, Data Summary
The surveillance of Dennis Cooley's bookshop continues, and Watkins is observed and heard entering the shop. Some of the interchange is written, as is Cooley's habit when setting the price of a book. Owens and Ashley cannot establish a positive link between the two men as Watkins always pays in cash. Ashley suspects that is because checks are dated. Watkins's past military history is unveiled and he, personally, had a very bad time in Northern Ireland, he lost four of his men. It might be enough motivation to turn against the crown.
